Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog!

For the past year, I have been learning all about ‘Primal’ living, and how to implement these concepts in a modern world. I absorb knowledge from a variety of sources as though it were water; from recipes to research, to books, blogs and podcasts. I CANNOT get enough information!

Why do you do this?

This blog is intended to be a space where I can share my primal journey with all who are willing to watch, listen, and learn with me. I will blog about my own experiences, successes, frustrations, and triumphs, as well as share any interesting studies or articles I may come across. Because food and the necessity of it for life and health is such a large portion of what it means to be Primal, I will also regularly post links to my favourite recipes and blogs where this sort of information is readily available.

This blog is not intended to tell you what to do, but to share my own primal urges with you. Please feel free to leave questions and comments, or post links to your own primal living.

A little bit about me

A little bit about me… I am a 26 year-old female who lives and works in Central Auckland, New Zealand. A combination of Paleo/Primal and CrossFit helps keep me happy and healthy, and will hopefully allow me to attain my ultimate goal; to age with dignity and grace, and to avoid the modern diseases of the Western World, such as:

  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Cancers
  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia, and
  • Auto-immune conditions

Just to name a few! I believe that it is a constant bombardment of ‘toxins’ – both in the food that we eat and the environment that we live in that is the largest contributing factor to our deteriorating health in a Westernised world.

I hope you’ll join me on my journey…
